Musings on a fursuit...

As you can imagine, I've spent a lot of time admiring rose_quoll's work in progress on my rat fursuit (name yet to be decided) and I've come to a conclusion. This may be because I feel a sense of ownership towards him, and I would obviously be biased, but I feel as if this is not only Rose's best fursuit work to date, but (in my entirely subjective opinion) the best fursuit I've seen. The only one that comes close is Rose's quoll fursuit (which interestingly enough is also the only other fursuit of hers I've gotten to see up close). I know this is at least as much because of my emotional reaction to the suit rather than the craftmanship that went into it, but bravo Rose! This fursuit will be easy to love. ^_^

Even from the little I've seen from the photos on your LJ, it looks like an incredible fursuit.

Will it be machine washable?

Part of the design specifications is that the suit be relatively easy to wash, which does limit the use of padding somewhat.

It is looking, in all fairness, really really good and really really cute!

I suspect your fursuit ranking scale might be similar to mine:

Character design: 1-10 points
Workmanship: 1-20 points
Washable: +5 points
Durable materials: +5 points
It's a cute rodent: +500 points

hi I'm a fursuiter in the UK - my first full suit i have made is a rabbit - Riot Bunny - and my next project is a rat fursuit, to be called Tube Rat because he lives in the London Underground (Subway Railway). he'll be a cockney londoner sort of fagin dodger character with a cloth cap and cut-off fingerless pickpocket's gloves :) a sort of likeable rogue crim :) i put rat fursuit in a search engine (google) and found you. i'm impressed with your suit in progress - it's certainly a quality for me to try to aim at when i do mine. it looks superb. love it. hugs.
