Rat fursuit: Work in progress 3

This post has two functions: To grace you with more of Rose's wonderful work and to seek your input.















You will notice in the first two pictures that Rose has provided examples of the suit with and without eyebrows. What do you people think? I think the suit does need eyebrows, but I'm not so sure about the ones she has there. Should I go for thinner eyebrows? A different colour? Eschew eyebrows altogether?

Also, the suit needs a name, but I am not seeking solicitations on this point. (At least not yet.) I have that damned German mouse's name Diddl stuck in my head, but I'm tending towards "Rattus". Dignified but maybe too impersonal?

Slightly-thinner eyebrows, nad maybe not black - but a darker shade of grey.

LJ is having problems at the moment, ugh. I'd leave a comment in your journal, but it seems to be boggling as well.

I'm remaking Marko's tail to be a bit longer (and I realized as an afterthought that the long fur on the rings would be easier to sew in at the begining) so I was wondering if you were interested in buying the original tail? Or any other rats or mice you know? I'd rather not sell it on furbid because it's easier to ship within Aussie.

Lemme know when LJ gets back up and running correctly.

I dunno... I'm pretty screwed for cash at the moment. I got a heap of bills/debts/ebay items to pay off at the moment so it could be quite some time before I can look into buying fursuit stuff. Thanks for the offer but. If anything comes up, I'll let ya know. How much where you looking at for the tail anyway?

$30 AUD. Normally it'd be in USD, but I want to sell it local, and it's premade. If you don't know anyone, I'll toss it up on furbid.

Definately with eyebrows, maybe they could go a little higher and not directly on top of the eyeball?

I think it looks nicer with eyebrows. "Rattus" sounds a bit, well, pseudo-scientific, to be honest (not to mention that it reminds of that one Dilbert strip - don't ask), and Diddl is a mouse, not a rat, but I'm sure you'll come up with a nice name. *tailwaves*

I'll second that name suggestion - it has a pleasant sound to it, and it's an instant back story of sorts. ^_^

Personally, I'd actually leave the eyebrows off - though, I wonder if it'd be feasible to have them magnetically secured (the other magnet or metallic surface being on the underside of the fur), and thereby removable? There do seem to be possibilities with such a route..

Velcro might work well. But I do not know how feasible it is with the rest of the fur on the suit (thinking the fur might get caught in the velcro and torn).

As usual the work of rose is stunning. but I agree with Chrissy the eyebrows would possibly look better higher up.
