I'm filling in for my boss at work, in the middle of a big project, while she goes to France. More money, but also more responsibility. I confessed to a colleague at work that I'm not enjoying myself. She berated me, saying I'll build up negativity and be even more miserable. And she's right, of course. I learnt from Pouch that it's all about attitude (or, in my case, rattitude) and my personal life's changed. So why can't I do the same in my professional life?

We do many things to protect the company that feeds and supports us. Even if the company is making coats from baby seals, we do what we have to to support ourselves and live comfortably.

Um, I don't think my workplace is doing anything all that bad. In fact, technically, my workplace can't do anything all that bad; it's all up to the government of the day. I'm just saying I'm not happy in my job (as a separate issue from the relieving I'm doing). And don't I deserve to be happy?

Erm, we are going to MG this year. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that to Tzup. I don't see you online so I don't tell you these things. ^_^

We are going. In a lot of ways this trip is "getting it right".
Last time, from the moment the parade ended everything went wrong on that trip.

I wanted to meet up with you the next day and catch up with you and with Tzup. There was a lot I wanted to discuss with you, like the suit and its construction, your experiences with mascot work and compare them to my experiences during the parade, what had been hapopening in your life since we last met...all sorts of stuff. It was also my first good chance to talk with Tzup since I left Victoria.

Instead...we got dragged to a totally seperate 'event' the next day (that Marko and I had less-than-no interest in) and I lost the chance to spend time catching up with you and Tzup.

...That was then. With any luck Marko and I can avoid that sort of thing this year. We are going as just the two of us this time so we have full control over our time (unlike the last two years).
I do want to meet up with "good furs" (unlike last year) so you, Tzup, Dustin, Loopy...

Good luck honey! It is all about rattitude (cute!) but also listening to what your insides are saying! I have no doubt you can do anything you put your mind to. But I think that if your heart is not where you work...go follow it until you find it! :)
