Are rats the new black?
Jun. 19th, 2006 10:03 pm(I know I've been doing a lot of rat-related posts recently, but that's only because they're so darned popular right now!)
porsupah has brought to my attention yet another rat movie doing the rounds: One Rat Short. Not really sure what to make of this one. (I never expected to have a surfeit of movies to choose from!) Going for a realism that they don't quite achieve, it looks moody and atmospheric, but with a bitter-sweet storyline of unrequited love that every rat can relate to. (Yes, Marko the Rat was not always as lucky at love as he is now.) It's going to be played at the Melbourne International Film Festival and as it just so happens I'll be in Melbourne for the tail end of that, I might get a chance to catch it there.
tail end indeed!
