I finally updated my bio, and not before time. That terse one was seeming a bit unfriendly. I think I must have been in an odd mood when I wrote this one though. Such is life.

Squeefully happy to hear from you, as always. Any more photos from the party? I'm told there was a knife pointed at my crotch while in Rattus at the party and I'd love to see those.

What does "sciolistic" mean? As good as my vocabulary is, I must admit that I do not know that word. I've tried looking it up in the dictionary and didn't find it.

You need a better dictionary! I admit I didn't know what it meant until I stumbled across it in the dictionary. It means of or pertaining to sciolism, which admittedly isn't a very helpful definition. If we dig further though, we find it means "pretentious superficiality of knowledge" according to the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. By which I mean I like to explore, but I don't get very deeply into anything. (I'm not so much emphasising the pretentious part, because I like to think I'm usually only pretentious in a self-mocking way.) Answers.com goes further by suggesting it can apply to a pretentious attitude to scholarship, which I find endlessly amusing because they then offer me "expert advice" on sciolism. What would they do; refer me to myself? I was once offered a position as an online expert on kangaroos by some pretentious start up internet company. (I doubt it would have offered much, if any, money.) What that said to me was that they were not serious about their research.

Thank you for the explanation. I must be honest and say that when I first glanced at it, I thought it said, "Socialistic rat," and I thought, oh no!
