Three weeks ago, you may recall I reported us buying a bed. Well, I'm pleased to announce that
ristin and I slept in it for the first time last night. This may seem a long time, but I will defensively explain that the old bed (and associated junk under it) couldn't be moved without both of us having a day free to work on it. The first weekend, we were marching in Mardi Gras, the next Ristin was sick with tonsillitis. It was only this week that both of us felt half way well enough to tackle the task. I was feeling like I was coming down with something myself, but Ristin, *ahem* impressed upon me the importance of getting it done that day. Even though we still need to get proper bedding for it, Ristin was well pleased with his first night on the new bed and even gave me a little ratty treat this morning. ^_^

Date: 2005-03-20 03:56 pm (UTC)The only time I ever slept all night with a real rat was my first rattie, Constance: She was dying and she refused to not be at my side. She slept on my pillow all night, and even though I slept too, I must have been subconsciously aware that she was there, because I never rolled over on her ( ... and in the morning, I took her to the vets to be put to sleep.)
