Election Armageddon

My worst case scenario that I posited earlier has apparently come true. Family First has 2% of the vote in the Senate in Victoria, but political pundits have given them a seat in the Senate because of the flow of preferences. Remember that the Australian Democrats helped to bring this about. Never forget. The Coalition has half of the Senate and Family First holds the balance of power. Expect to see a socially conservative government lurch further to the right to appease this tiny hate-filled minority. I feel sick.

We need to find that 2% of hateful bigots...they need to be isolated and contained...look at the damage they have done! This will set back the "multicultural" and "modern" and "tolerant" society we are SUPPOSED to have here by years if not decades. (Family-First are a front for a fundamentalist church "Assemblies of God" so...back to puritan values for us down under.)

2% in the state and they get a senator....about 10% of people are gay, the other 5 of 6 should be ours then right? No.
The system is bullshit.

LIberal rule...less funding for hospitals, schools, universities, roads, developement, maintaining infrastructure, less money for grants supporting research...
...I weep for the country. This will put us another 3 or 4 years behind the rest of civilisation.

The coallition ran a campaign of fear, people voted out of fear, and now everyone is going to get what they voted for...FEAR!
