Oh, very nice work with Dario! The maker can be duly proud. ^_^ Reminds me, I should try my paw again at making a suit or two, the head(s) in particular. (Though, if I want to try bringing my SL self into RL, I'm not sure if foam carving would be the ideal method, as that'd be liable to give a larger, toonier head. I might give it a shot anyway, and just turn it into something else if it didn't seem to be working for the original purpose)
I don't think I ever hated Twitter, but it's very much a supplemental medium, for me - handy for minor or quick stuff, but poor for anything that doesn't fit into a few words, and consequently, ill-suited to affording a meaningful reflection of my friends' lives. Thus, as an addition to LJ, it works fine - not everything happening in one's life requires a new LJ entry, after all. Certainly not mine, else I'd update about annually. =:) Plus, whilst LJ's manglement can, shall we say, leave something to be desired, at the end of it, LJ's reason for being is simple - making weblogs happen, letting communities form around them, and ensuring it's all paid for quite simply and up-front, by subscriptions. I like that kind of honest funding.
(BTW, has there been news on Ristin's employment situation? I may've missed it, but I don't recall hearing anything. Sadly, his LJ seems defunct now)
This will basically be a (censored) transcription
The full version to be available on pay-per-view? =:)
Mondays at cons - ah, I don't know. I preferred to think of the mood as more of unwinding, a little melancholic, somewhat wistful, yet still glowing with the energy of many friendships renewed and conversations enjoyed. It's done with, but it was great fun, and it'll be happening again before all that very long. (Plus, admittedly, I often tended to get involved with helping the con in some way or another, so I was busy enough not to be caught up in the more negative emotions. I can recommend it - obviously, it takes a chunk of time out, but there's a lot to be said for actually helping make all the magic happen. Do I vaguely recall you've been quite active in MiDiFur?)
