This is something I posted on a plushie mailing list ages ago, but it's still just as relevant today:

I had a rough day at work today. I spent a few minutes cuddling Ben, a small white rat plush I keep there because I knew there would be days like this. He was a great help. I just wanted to say publicly in a forum that would understand: "Thanks for being there, Ben. You give me so much comfort and never ask for anything in return. I love you, little white rat."

I know how you feel Marko. I have a teddy bear named Cuddle Bear. Sometimes he is the only thing that keeps me sane. There was one week in my life that I literally walked around with him under my arm all day long (except at work), and slept with him in my arms every night.

Awww... He's really a very sweet little white rat :-) It's great being able to have a plush friend at work, just for those rough days when we need a little quiet comfort. I've got a yellow morphic bunny who sits on the side of my printer, and he gets his share of attention on bad days. My officemate likes him, too, and more than once I've gone back to my desk to find that my bunny has taken a seat in my chair and is staring at my computer monitor, one paw on the keyboard and one paw on the mouse :-) Alas, he hasn't figured out how to type yet, but we're working on it ;-)
