Christmas scrooge?

If you weren't planning on getting me a gift, you probably weren't expecting anything from me either so you can safely disregard this message. If you were thinking of getting me something, at the risk of causing offence, may I please ask that you not? Christmas is always a difficult time for me, for various reasons, and I'd rather not add to my stress with the ritual of Christmas shopping. If you got me something I'd feel obligated to reciprocate. If however you have already bought me something I do feel I should reciprocate and so please let me know.
