Consumerism is fun!
Mar. 16th, 2004 07:49 pm(I get in trouble if I don't do at least two posts a week, so don't blame me if this is as boring as mud.)
I bought a shiny new toy today: a Fuji Finepix S3000 digital still camera. I haven't really played with it much yet (Byron is playing with it right now), but the lens handily beats my current SLR camera, plus I get much more flexibility in my photography. (That's code for I can now take naughty photos of
ristin.) I'd previously resisted the temptation to buy a digital camera because I didn't feel they'd reached the right price/performance point, but I think I was sold after a film developer lost a roll of my film. I got a CD with it, but I don't think I'll bother opening it. It just works if you plug it into Mac OS X. Ostensibly, this camera is for Roophilia, but it'll also be more fun tooling around Melbourne with this baby.
In other news, Silverfur (who has sadly deleted his livejournal) took me to LaserHunt again on Saturday. It was more fun this time, now that I had a better idea of what I was doing. I was actually able to avoid coming last on some occasions! He also took me for a walk on the beach at night. Squee! Unfortunately, even at night, Surfers Paradise beaches tend to be fairly crowded, including the odd drunk. I'll have to find a quieter beach to walk with Ristin on.
