I came across this interesting article. This mouse's blood cells not only act as a vaccine and a cure against even the most malignant cancers, but it's hereditary as well. It sounds too good to be true and obviously they still have a lot of work ahead of them isolating how it works so they can hopefully apply this to humans as well. I have had several friends and family members touched by cancer, so a magic bullet like this is of keen interest to me. In light of the human impact cancer has had on me, I hope I would not be accused of being flippant in expressing a hope that this technology could one day be applied to pet rats as well?
